Contatti con i
Rotary Club del Mondo
|
|

saluto rotariano.
Rotary Club Roma Ovest
Dear fellow Rotarian friends,
Greetings from Italy– from Rotary Club Roma Ovest
( Rome West)!
We are inaugurating our new web site the 24th of June.
As part of the project we wish to add a section that will
be dedicated to an “email exchange” between
our club and those around the world, in hopes of creating
a virtual forum that will enable us to exchange messages,
news and ideas.
We would be most grateful if you could send
us a greetings in both English and your original language
(should it not be English) as we would be most honoured
to have it be a part of this exciting new initiative.
We also cordially invite you to visit our
web site at: http://www.rotaryclubromaovest.org .
In hopes that this represents the start of an ongoing correspondence,
we bid you an affectionate Rotarian salute!

Greetings to the Rotary Club of Roma Ovest!
Thank you for selecting the Phoenix Rotary 100 to be part
of your email exchange. I visited your website
and it promises to develop into a fine website. I also
visited your fine city several years ago and had a wonderful
time.
The Phoenix Rotary 100 was chartered in March, 1914 as
the 100th club in Rotary International. At the time
we received our charter, we had 100 members. We
truly were "Club 100". We are now at 355 members
and the largest club in the State of Arizona. Please
visit our website at www.rotary100.org. It is constantly
a work in progress and there is still much to be done,
but we keep working at it.
We wish you much success - with your website, with your Rotary
projects, with your club.
Warm Rotary regards,

Dear members of:
Rotary Club Roma Ovest (Rome West)!
I love the beauty of your web page.
My name is Hans Ikier. I am a member of http://www.bostonrotary.org
Thank you for the e-mail you send to our president. I am
delighted to see other fellow Rotarians embrace INTERNET technology.
We are in the process of publishing the presentations of our
guest speakers
on the INTERNET.
For example last month the Governor of Massachusetts spoke
at one of our
breakfast meetings.
You may view it at: http://66.9.116.20/z/v2/romney.wmv
If it would be more useful we could make it available to stream
over a dial
up 56k connection but video quality is degraded.

The Rotary Club of Cambridge, ENGLAND
June 8th, 2003
Greetings and Congratulations from
The officers and members of
The Rotary Club of Cambridge, England
We congratulate the Rotary Club of Roma Ovest on its forthcoming
inauguration on 24 June. We wish all the members and
the Club every success in the future and welcome it to this
world-wide organisation.
The Rotary Club of Cambridge, No 1416, was founded in
1922, the 94th Club to be established in RIBI, and celebrated
its 80th anniversary last year. We, and the three newer
post-war Clubs in the Cambridge area, will be joining together
in a 4 Clubs project to celebrate the 100th anniversary of
Rotary International in 2005.
Cambridge is, of course, one of the two most famous University
Cities in the world and we have members from the University,
its Colleges as well as from the professions and commerce.
The city is a cultural, artistic, scientific and hi-tech centre
and its University has inspired world famous actors, writers,
poets, scientists, engineers and countless academics, resulting
in over 80 Nobel Prizes. Trinity College alone has 23
and counting....
Many great discoveries have been made at its Cavendish Laboratory
, and more recently, at the MRC and Wellcome laboratories,
that played a leading role in cracking the Human Genome.
Our Rotary Club has a membership of 67 and in this current
Rotary year have our first ever lady President, Thea Macleod.
She has had a very successful year and will be handing over
to Jim Smith at the end of this month.
Recent major projects carried out by the Club include the
dispatch of many hundreds of caravans to Greece and Turkey
following the earthquakes there some two or three years ago.
We led and master minded a full UK drive with all Districts
and many Clubs assisting us in this mammoth task.
With every best wish -and congratulations
Alex R Cook

The Rotary Club of Melbourne, AUSTRALIA

Cari amici rotariani
Congratulations on your new web site from The Rotary Club
of Melbourne, Australia. We have a large number of Italians
in Melbourne who have much enriched our culture and extended
our cuisine. They also participated in our colonial
history growing wine and rebelling against an oppressive regime
in the time of our gold rushes in the 1850's.
The Rotary Club of Melbourne is the oldest and biggest in
Australia having begun in 1921. In 1993 we organised
The Rotary International Convention here in Melbourne.
We raise a glass of wine to you and say, as we do in Australia,
cheers!
Warm regards,
Gillian Hibbins,
Honorary Secretary. |
